These five Crystal Blobs were bought by a lovely customer last year. I took a few photos of them because I wanted to keep a little memory of that moment.
It’s been such a long time since I last wrote down one of these small stories between me and a customer. These stories often stay quietly in my heart for ages, and many of them give me the strength to keep going.
This customer messaged me on Instagram to say she is about to leave the job. She is looking for some thoughtful gifting ideas for her colleagues and she chose 5 different Studio Arhoj Crystal Blobs and let her teammates picked the pieces that they liked most, hoping that her colleagues would smile when they received them. She also chose a box of A4 Tumi-isi for her boss, wishing that everyone would continue to grow and do well.
I remember feeling really touched by her message. It reminded me how meaningful a small act of giving can be. A gift always carries a lot of heart, it’s a way of saying thank you, I care, I remember you. When you’re leaving a job, it’s easy enough just to bring in some snacks or cakes to share. But coming all the way to OBJ, carefully choosing a few Crystal Blobs so that colleagues can keep them on their desks, glance at them now and then, and smile… that’s something truly special. It holds a bit of warmth and shared memories.
I replied her that I’d make sure to wrap everything beautifully, so that when their colleagues opened the boxes, they’d feel a burst of happiness.
