Samu-Jussi Koski is an awarded Finnish fashion designer, whose career highlights include working as the Creative Director of Marimekko and founding of his own company, Samuji. Samu-Jussi fell in love with fashion at a young age, and throughout the years has come to appreciate it from a more sustainable, lasting perspective. His interests lie in creating beautiful, functional items that stand the test of time through both their design and quality. Samu-Jussi finds inexhaustible inspiration in discovery, and his boundless curiosity for new things empowers him to explore new avenues fearlessly.

Samu-Jussi’s love for Finland’s capital served as the inspiration for the Lapuan Kankurit collection. Hietaniemi Beach, more commonly known as Hietsu, is the most popular public beach in Helsinki, located in the Töölö district.

HIETSU towels are made of 100 % washed linen. Washed linen doesn’t necessarily need any ironing, small wrinkles are allowed, even desired for! Linen is a natural material that feels pleasant on the skin, it’s very absorbent and dries very fast. For these reasons linen is an excellent material for towels. 100% washed linen has been wash treated during our production process, this is how we get the outstanding absorption capacity.

This generously sized towel wraps around you with ease, and there’s plenty of room to lounge on it, making it perfect as a beach towel as well. Its large size doesn’t mean it takes up too much space. This towel fits effortlessly into a cupboard or travel bag, making it the ideal companion for both home and vacation.
