The lightweight TRIPODAL STOOL respects Ishinomaki Laboratory’s concept of simple and easy-to-construct wooden furniture, and embraces greater sophistication. It is designed with not only aesthetics in mind but with the intention of being carried around and used as communal furniture. The front leg is slightly slanted at 7 degrees to enhance the stability of the base, creating an iconic signature for the stool. It can also serve as a bedside table by utilizing the gap in the seat as cable space for a table lamp or mobile phone charger.

TRIPODAL STOOL 只由六塊長方形日本屋久島地杉組成，凳身輕巧只 需單手攜起便可，而 STOOL 的特色是件很方便攜帶、容易讓人聚在一起隨時坐著談天說地的家具。 另外為了加強 TRIPODAL STOOL 的平衡，設計和工房團隊決定將前腳做了 7 度輕微傾斜，不但增加穩定性且更讓 TRIPODAL STOOL 從側面看來更有獨特的設計效果，保留座位及小凳腳形成九十度角的利落之感。 TRIPODAL STOOL 供大家隨時和朋友分享日常而坐外，還可當作床頭小枱放置床頭燈放置電話之用。
